The lanes of this district are full of people especially in September – because of many markets, events and tastings of local products. Guests can fully experience the rhythms and peaceful atmosphere of the city: a stroll along the city walls, a breakfast in one of the many characteristic cafés, an aperitif in one of the squares in the centre. It is also possible to enjoy the city's most picturesque corners simply by walking or cycling.Lucca is a charming art city, surrounded by an intact town wall – rich of antique “palazzi”, churches and squares and exciting spots. Discover in these lanes old fashioned and characteristic shops and typical regional restaurants.
