The apartment was in a very good area for accessing the metro and grabbing coffee and petit dejeuner. There were many restaurants in the area and places to shop for basic needs. The communication from the management company was excellent! Some of the best I’ve experienced. They gave clear instructions for key pick up and getting into the building. They also checked in a few times to be sure we were doing fine. They answered questions about the property quickly. In addition, the kitchen was perfect for us for cooking light breakfast and the second shower was an added convenience-through the lights in the downstairs shower room would not stay on. The good rating instead of fantastic is because this isn’t the property for everyone. The attic style location caused trouble for those of us that are taller because we kept hitting our heads on the lower parts of the apartment. The outdoor terrace is in direct view of other apartments windows which made for a very public viewing location. That said, it is the perfect spot for those who are planning to be out and about exploring most of your day because the location is convenient.

En général, nous avons passé un très beau séjour dans cet appartement. Il est lumineux, très bien situé, à quelques pas de la station de métro République, qui donne accès à plusieurs lignes, et les lits étaient confortables. L’internet était rapide et il y avait un bon choix de chaînes de télévision. Cela dit, quelques irritants ont nui à l’expérience. D’abord, la compagnie ne nous avait pas transmis le bon code pour récupérer les clés chez Keynest; cette information avait été omise du courriel. Nous avons dû appeler le service à la clientèle en Suisse pour obtenir le bon code. À notre arrivée, plusieurs articles de base manquaient, ce qui nous a obligés à faire des achats imprévus : linges à vaisselle, lavettes, shampoing et papier de toilette. L’annonce Vrbo mentionnait pourtant que le shampoing était fourni, mais il ne s’agissait que d’une petite bouteille format voyage, insuffisante pour 4 personnes pendant 10 jours. Même chose pour le papier de toilette : seulement 2 rouleaux pour tout le séjour. L’évier de cuisine n’avait pas de bouchon, ce qui compliquait la vaisselle, d’autant plus qu’il n’y avait ni linge ni support pour faire sécher la vaisselle. Aussi, il est habituel de trouver quelques produits de base pour cuisiner (sel, poivre, huile), mais rien n’était fourni. Enfin, le sofa était très sale et mériterait un bon nettoyage.

This is a spacious, clean, and quiet apartment. The beds are comfortable. We appreciated the kitchen, dining table and couch. The apartment is very close to the metro and there are a number of restaurants nearby. However, the entryway smells of pee and there is a dark corridor to go down to get to the door to the place, then another long corridor to get to the stairs. The area, while lively, gets a bit run down as you go north. There is a lot of graffiti on the buildings and many shops are boarded up. We had to pick up the keys from a liquor shop north of the place. And we weren't given the code to give to the cashier until just before we needed to pick up the keys/fob. So, we were a bit nervous about arriving in the city and not having all of the details of the checkin. The flat is an "attic", squeezed into the interior of the apartment, above the inner courtyard. It is surrounded on four sides by the apartment building. It is as if someone filled in the courtyard of a typical Parisian apartment building with a small flat. So, you cannot look out onto the street and it is mostly skylights and windows that look into other people's windows. The patio boards are soft and we didn't want to walk on them. Communication was poor with the company that manages this place. We had problems with the heating system and they didn't get back to us until two days later, when they just sent an email saying that they trusted that we figured it out.

The apartment was wonderful. Comfortable, clean, fantastic location. Would definitely stay there again. Check in was a nightmare. We were not given the correct check in code beforehand and spent 40 awkward minutes with all our luggage in the tiny easy goo shop trying to get our keys. If you do stay here (which I'd highly recommend) make sure you have the correct 6 digit code ahead of time!

Prima appartement, schoon, stil (en overeenkomstig de foto's). Place de la République is om de hoek, en ook bakkers en supermarkten zijn dichtbij. Lange mensen moeten wel wat bukken, hier en daar.
