We are rating our overall experience in this unit "reasonable," as it did not reach the level of "good," nor was it "bad." The responsiveness of the host was exceptional. A few things must be made known: 1). We waited outside the apartment until 4:20p for the cleaners to finish. 2). When the cleaners left, the floors were still very wet, and there was still some minor evidence of the previous guests. The bathrooms and showers were very clean along with the linens and towels. I requested a return or reduction of the cleaning fee but was denied. 3). The photos in the ad were misleading. We were expecting 3 beds based on the photos, even though it said 2 bedrooms. Specifically photos 18 and 19 seem to clearly be showing 2 different bedrooms, based on 4 key differences in the photos: A) the ceiling light fixture is present on one and not the other B). The light fixtures on the wall on either side of the bed are different or appear different C). The pillows on the bed are different D). The color of the blanket is different or appears different 4). Photo 22 “Exterior Detail” implies the entry door and windows were inside the gate. However a more accurate photo would have been the short door by the mailboxes and garbage cans rather than the pretty door and garden implying we had outdoor space and windows other than the kitchen. Just know that the door in the photo is not the door to this unit. Only the window to the left of the door is the kitchen unit. 5). We knew there were stairs in the unit, but we did not appreciate that they led underground. We were prepared for beautiful bright rooms not rooms in the basement. Some in my group actually have a fear of spaces like this, so just be aware. The rooms were nice, however. The renovated unit was nicely done, but the sleeping spaces were underground. The dryer also did not dry quickly, one medium sized load took at least 3 hours to dry. The neighborhood was great, close to the metro and easy to get to Notre Dame (20 minute walk) and the Louvre. The Eiffel Tower area is a bit further depending on traffic. Price was very reasonable.

The layout of the bathrooms was not good. The dryer did not work well. There are too many steps in the apartment. However the apartment has a good location and it was clean and quiet.

We had a minor issue with one of the shower drains, but it was repaired the day before our departure. I’m not sure if it was related, but the apartment felt quite humid during our stay. Being on a half lower-ground level with no windows that could be opened, there wasn’t much natural ventilation. Aside from that, the apartment was clean, comfortable, and very well located. The only thing we missed was being able to fully enjoy the courtyard, as the seating area was designated for the other apartments. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Lots of space, HVAC is a bit noisy. The dryer does not dry and needs repair? Great location.
