Petasos Villa 2 is a newly constructed villa located on the outskirts of Sellia village in Crete, just a short drive from the popular tourist destinations of Souda Bay and Plakias. Plakias is a coastal settlement located in southern Crete, 40 kilometers south of Rethymno. It is home to 237 permanent residents and is situated in a picturesque cove along a magnificent sandy beach that stretches for 1300 meters between the capes of Stavros and Kako Mouri. Plakias is divided between the municipalities of Selia in the western part and Mirthios in the eastern part, both of which are charming villages not far from Plakias.

The first recorded mention of Plakias was in the 1961 census when it had only six fishermen as permanent inhabitants.
