Our villa was built of stone in the Cretan style. It is situated 200 metres above sea level in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the village of Prines, just a few minutes' drive from Rethymnon, Crete's most beautiful town. The village centre with tavernas, kafenions and small grocery shops can be reached on foot in a few minutes. In the village you can still enjoy the TRUE KRETA, far away from tourism and yet so close and reachable in a few minutes. Although there are many holiday homes in Prines, the real Cretan atmosphere still prevails in the village. From the terraces you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and the mountains. In the evenings, you can enjoy the sunset here. This fascinating view is only approximately recognisable in the photos. All guests are delighted with this breathtaking view!

Outside the stone villa Erato there is a terrace on the ground floor with direct access to the private swimming pool in the garden. On the upper floor there is a very large veranda, which can be reached both via an external staircase and an internal staircase. From this veranda there is a truly fantastic view of the sea and the White Mountains (2,500 metres above sea level and covered in snow from November to May). Here you can enjoy a wonderful sunset in the evening hours. The garden area has a lawn.

The villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The unique living atmosphere created by the solid stone construction is enchanting. The villa offers a high level of living comfort and is also a cosy holiday destination in winter thanks to the heating. The open fireplace invites you to spend cosy evenings in the winter months, where the focus is on comfort, as the air temperatures are still very pleasant even in the winter months. The property has a 30 square metre round swimming pool. The terraces are furnished with beautiful garden furniture. A small library with books and a stereo system are part of the equipment as well as a SAT-TV with approx. 50 German channels. INTERNET CONNECTION WIFI is free, but password protected to avoid 'abuse' by children. Over the last few years, Villa Erato has gained many regular guests who are always happy to return. The house is ideal for families, but is also suitable for small groups who want to spend an active holiday on Crete, such as cyclists, hikers or triathletes. The location is also ideal for those interested in culture, as all areas of the island can be reached within a day trip. Beautiful beaches can be reached in just a few minutes.

The Erato holiday villa was built on a 200m high hill with truly fantastic views of the sea and the mountains. It is located on the edge of the village and there are other holiday homes here, all built of natural stone. Probably the most beautiful residential location in the entire area of the town of Rethymnon: Wonderful view - Very quiet - Village centre only 500m away - Rethymno can be reached in a few minutes by car - Beaches can be reached in a few minutes.

Personal fitness trainer: We offer you your personal fitness programme. Enjoy the Cretan sun, the beach and the sea, the healthy Cretan diet and do some sport at the same time, so that you are fit and refreshed and don't have any unnecessary extra pounds after your holiday. As the owner of your holiday villa, I am an experienced triathlete (IronMan finisher), amateur cyclist and marathon runner. Depending on your wishes, you will receive a personal fitness programme, which can include cycling, running, swimming, weight training, massages and a visit to the sauna. You will return from your holiday refreshed and full of energy. We look forward to your visit!
