Location of Lychen: The climatic health resort and state-recognised resort of Lychen is located in the Uckermark and borders the Feldberg lake district and the Havel. Lychen is situated between extensive forests and in the middle of an attractive lake district with access to the public waterway to the Havel waters, the "Mecklenburg Brandenburg Lake District", as well as the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Situated on the north-western edge of the Uckermark, the small border town to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has become a popular holiday resort. Lychen rightly has the nickname "Märkisches Interlaken", which alludes to the town's exposed island location at the Lychener Seenkreuz and the countless bodies of water in the surrounding area.
