Escape from everyday life in our charming, authentic 15th century watermill, lovingly restored and idyllically situated at the end of a valley on the Agoût riverbed. At an altitude of 460 metres, in the Midi-Pyrénées region of southern France, this is an oasis of tranquillity, far away from noise and traffic, yet only 20 minutes away from the town of Castres, where you will find all amenities. A real insider tip for anyone looking for unspoilt nature, ancient stones and breathtaking landscapes.
The rustic holiday flat in the old mill is approx. 42 m² in size and perfect for two to four people. With its own entrance on the west side, you enter the cosy living and dining area with a comfortable folding couch, a dining table for four people and a fully equipped open kitchen including dishwasher. The bedroom, accessible via two steps, offers a comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm) and a single bed (90 x 200 cm). A baby cot is available on request. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and WC, and the flat is pleasantly heated by a radiator. Free WLAN is a matter of course.
Just a few steps away on a picturesque plateau is your private terrace with a wonderful view of the river and the surrounding forest. Garden furniture and a barbecue invite you to spend relaxing evenings outdoors. The perfect setting to unwind and fully enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings.
Direct access to the river allows you to swim or fish right on your doorstep. For shopping, you can visit nearby Brassac (7 km) or Castres (20 minutes' drive). The surrounding area offers numerous excursion destinations, such as the charming towns of Castres, Lautrec and Albi, the wine-growing areas of Gaillac and the medieval treasures of Cordes-sur-Ciel and Carcassonne. Fantastic hiking trails for nature lovers also start directly from the mill.
