Puerto del Carmen is the main tourist area of the island of Lanzarote, ten minutes from the airport, this is the perfect place for your holiday. The Avenida de las Playas runs along the beach, with shops, restaurants, bars with live music and lively nightclubs. It stretches along about seven kilometres of coastline, which includes the beaches of Los Pocillos, Playa Grande, Playa Chica, all with golden sand, as well as several coves. You can practice various sports: scuba diving, windsurfing, cycling, parascending, and for those who like cycling there is a twenty kilometre long cycle path.
