Once a period villa dating back to 19th century, this four-bedroom property near Lucca has been transformed into a charming country home with spacious rooms, modern amenities and inviting out-door areas. Catch a glimpse of the villa’s past in its large fireplaces, and appreciate its present as you relax by the pool.
The indigo-blue villa looks out onto wide green lawns and surrounding farmland and olive groves. Prepare local produce on the outdoor barbecue and enjoy it at the table under a vine-covered pergola. The swimming pool is huge and it is bordered by a spacious gar-den and pool house with changing area, toilet and refrigerator. Despite the rural location, the villa is well-connected, with cable television and Wi-Fi access and it is located within a 10 mins drive away form Lucca.
Once the private villa of the famous Italian aviator Carlo Del Prete -he became famous for his crossings who took him to Australia and the Americas in 1920s, setting several records of stay in flight and distance travelled- VILLA QUERCIABELLA’s living areas are now bright and airy, with vaulted ceilings and pale furniture. Soft furniture create a restful feel that it is accented by wall paintings of exotic landascape’s made by the aviator’s Mexican wife in the early 20th century. For cosier evenings, there are sitting areas around the original fireplace.
VILLA QUERCIABELLA is located on the hill town of San Macario, close to Lucca and about 35 minutes from the Pisa airport. A 5-minute drive will take you to restaurants, grocery stores selling local food, a butcher, a farm selling eggs and cheeses, take away pizzerias and ice cream shops. The major sightseeing towns are located between 20 and 60 minutes away such as Cinque Terre, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Livorno, San Gimignano, Bolgheri, Montecarlo, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme, Garfagnana, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.

Check-in is between 3pm and 8pm. A late check-in is possible with an extra fee of Euro 50 up to 11 pm, plus Euro 25 per hour for each extra hour.
